On Saturday, 17th August 2024, the Muslim community in Offa came together at the Eid praying ground near the College of Health Technology, Offa, to observe a special prayer for rain. This collective act of faith was in response to the drought that has recently plagued the region, affecting both the land and the livelihoods of its people.<\/p>\n

The special prayer, known as Salat Al-Istisqa<\/strong>, is traditionally performed during times of drought, seeking divine intervention for rainfall. As the dry season extends, the community of Offa joined hands with other parts of the country where similar prayers have been observed, all hoping for the heavens to open and bless the land with much-needed rain.<\/p>\n
